Subject: [PLPA users] Fwd: [PLPA announce] Version 1.3.2 released
From: Jeff Squyres (jsquyres_at_[hidden])

In case you didn't see it, I just released PLPA v1.3.2.

The main rationale for this release was to correct a minor licensing issue discovered by the Fedora team. AMD and Red Hat representatives worked together to resolve the issue (see https://svn.open-mpi.org/trac/plpa/changeset/262 for details), the conclusion of which was to remove one clause from the AMD license header in plpa_map.c.

I'll be upgrading the PLPA in Open MPI to v1.3.2 tonight. I personally informed both the MPICH and MVAPICH teams (since they embed PLPA as well). This email is meant to alert any other software project that is using PLPA that I'm unaware of -- you should probably update to 1.3.2 as well.

>
> 1. The Fedora project noticed a minor license inconsistency in PLPA. Red Hat and AMD representatives worked together to resolve the issue; this release includes an updated version of the AMD license header in the PLPA source code (none of AMD's contributed code changed).

> 2. A minor Valgrind fix contributed by Julian Seward.
