Greetings all. It's been quiet here for a while, but [finally] due to
some requirements from Open MPI, I did some development work in PLPA
to move it [significantly] closer to a v1.1 release. I fixed a bunch
of bugs from the last 1.1 snapshot that was posted, brought over some
fixes for "included" mode from the OMPI SVN, and generally smoothed
out the code a bit.

Could people give it a try and let me know how it works for you? The
plpa-info and plpa-taskset commands are probably the easiest way to
test. Remember that you need a >=2.6.16 kernel for the topology
(core_at_socket) stuff to work.
Most notably missing are man pages for the PLPA API functions and plpa-
taskset and plpa-info executables. I'm sorry; I just don't have time
to write these at the moment.
If all goes well, I'd like to release PLPA v1.1 early/mid-next week.
