I have a dual xeon machine, each with 2 cores (not woodcrest --
older), and hyperthreading is enabled (mainly because I never
bothered to turn it off). RHEL5 is reporting in /proc/cpuinfo that I
have 8 CPUs each with 1 core on it. PLPA therefore reports the same.
Does anyone know why RHEL5 would report this configuration when I
know for a fact that it's really 2 sockets, each socket with 4
cores? RHEL4 actually reports it correctly (via /proc/cpuinfo -- 2
sockets each with 4 cores), but of course it does not have the
topology information so PLPA does not report it.
