The Portable Linux Processor Affinity (PLPA) project is pleased to
release version 1.1. PLPA is intended to provide a source- and binary-
portable mechanism for developers wishing to use processor affinity on
Linux platforms.

The v1.1 series adds several capabilities regarding internal CPU
topology (sockets and cores). Thanks to initial code contributions
from AMD, PLPA can now use (socket,core) tuples to specify where
processes should be pinned. PLPA has also grown a new executable,
plpa-taskset, that understands the same command line syntax as
taskset(1), but also understands (socket,core) tuples.

Community feedback is welcomed. Documentation (e.g., man pages) is
still lacking, unfortunately.
